Footprint

‘Footprint’ from Innovations Dance Platform, June 2022, Edinburgh.

“Imagine. Imagine just for a moment that the earth has a skin just like ours... and underneath that skin are the bones, the rocks, of a body, moving and shifting... and that every so often someone, some society, reaches down through that skin and takes out pieces of that body that belong inside.”

'Footprint' is a new work-in-progress dance piece combining movement, text and visual elements, made not only in response to the climate crisis, but in reference to how phrases can be turned around to take on other meanings and ultimately draw us away from engaging meaningfully, and with care and love for our natural world.
