Penny's journey into yoga began alongside her dance studies at university with a taste of the precision and clarity that Ashtanga can bring. This was back in 2001...
Since then, Penny has practiced with Iyengar teacher Tony Rothberg in Melbourne, with the influential yoga studio, Downward Dog in Toronto with teachers such as Ron Reid and Diane Bruni, and more recently in Glasgow with Rosina Bonsu and the Kali Collective.
Beginning the teaching journey, Penny completed Abby Hoffman's Embodied Dancer Pro course seeking to find how yoga can complement the dancers body, back in 2013...
Since then, Penny has taught at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and covered for Rosina Bonsu's classes as well as running the regular incredibly popular Sunday night slot for Glasgow Continental at the Arlington Baths.
She teaches vinyasa flow with an aim to bring the precision of Ashtanga to a continuously moving practice of asana and breath, with an understanding of the somatic work that dance can bring.
Penny has also taught yoga to dance companies such as Stillmotion Arts, Mischief La-Bas and also for Dance House Glasgow.
Penny also teaches 1 to 1 classes upon request.
